Third Annual Jingle Bell Dash (+Inaugural Dunk)

The Jingle Bell Dash is a festive, high-energy LGBTQ+ community fundraiser that circles the heart of Uptown Kingston. Festively and scantily-clad participants (people and dogs alike!) gather at the iconic Pride Crosswalk on Wall Street (right outside the Community Center) for a spirited half-mile dash through the historic Stockade District.
The morning wraps up in Apuzzo Hall with a hot cocoa station and prizes featuring the businesses on the Dash route. This year, we are introducing a new component to the event – a festive cookie baking contest called the Dunk to take place after the dash!

Ways to Participate
Dash
Come in festive attire and dash a half mile round the Stockade District (approx. 10 NYC street blocks) to end back at the community center for cookies and cocoa!
Dash as a Team
Get your friends, family, co-workers, sports team, club, social or support group together to dash as a team and raise money for the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center!
Bake
Dashing not for you? Be the first to join our inaugural cookie baking contest - the Dunk - and bring your homemade cookies for the dashers to taste and vote on upon their return!
Cheer
Who doesn’t need some queer cheer?? Come yell your heart out for the dashers!
And then come inside and warm up with cookies and cocoa!

Our Purpose & Impact
Inter-Generational Programming:
100% of the proceeds from the Jingle Bell Dash directly support the Center’s vital programming, including resources for queer youth, family support networks, our legal clinic, the Mayo Library, free STI testing and wellness counseling, the Changing Room clothing closet, the cyber center, and cultural events like rotating local art galleries in Apuzzo Hall.
Fostering Visibility and Joy:
The event brings together local residents, business owners, and regional allies to celebrate community resilience, drive local foot traffic to Uptown Kingston, and start the winter season with joy and connection.
