Hosted by Richard Heyl de Ortiz, the Community Center’s Executive Director, Out in the Valley highlights the people and issues important to the queer and trans folks in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
The one-hour show airs live at 9:00 Saturday mornings. Radio Kingston can be found at 107.9 FM or 1490 AM. The show is also available as a podcast on the Monday following airing. Recordings of past shows can be found below or by visiting the archive on Radio Kingston’s website.

The two will explore the birth of Ben’s creative self and his passion for the arts as well as white cis gay male privilege in our society.

On this week’s show Johnny will be facilitating a conversation on a topic which is long overdue & deserves attention. There will be a discussion with the cis partners of trans folks -some subjects to be explored, if they went through the transition with their partner, what the partner's personal transition was like, and/or what it's like be an ally to trans people, how their gender or other identities have changed. We are thrilled to hear “their point of view”.
