David Merrill is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with almost 30 years of experience in management roles helping market leaders to build brands and grow their business and revenues. He joined the Board at the Center in late 2020.

David began his career at what is today JPMorgan Chase, with most of his time there in roles supporting its private banking business. He then spent ten years at KPMG honing his professional services marketing credentials before moving on to a decade at Deloitte, where most recently he was a Managing Director providing leadership and direction to marketing teams supporting the firm’s priority industries, thought leadership development, and key client portfolio. David is also proud of the time he spent at The Mixx, an LGBTQ+-owned marketing agency in Manhattan. Currently, David works for himself and provides marketing consulting and project management services to corporate clients, focused on content development.

David earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, and he has an MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business.

David has spent significant time in the Hudson Valley since 1994 and now resides in Accord. Among other pursuits, he is currently at work on reviving his skills in oil painting and improving a very rusty tennis game.
