Frankie Sanvidge
(he/him)

Hailing from Saratoga County, Frankie has a deeply regarded passion for queer organizing and community care. His commitment to advocacy began during high school, where his personal experiences navigating the care system first fueled his passion for outreach and systemic support. This dedication followed him to Russell Sage College, where he studied for two years before a sudden disability required him to shift focus to his health. Navigating the profound impacts of living with a disability firsthand deeply reshaped his perspective, grounding his commitment to disability justice and accessible community resources.

As a proud transgender man who began HRT in the fall of 2024, Frankie found a renewed sense of freedom that transformed his relationship to advocacy. Embracing the philosophy of joy as a form of queer resistance, he purposefully channels the days he is not experiencing health flare-ups into active community connection. For Frankie, showing up to celebrate and support his community is both a personal triumph and a radical act of resilience.

Frankie brings this rich blend of lived experience and grassroots training—including formal youth peer advocacy training—to his leadership roles. He currently serves as an advisory council member for A Big Gay Market of the Hudson Valley and as a Novice Sister with the Empire Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in Albany. Frankie began volunteering with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center in 2025, and now serves on both the Development and Resource Directory Planning Committees. He is honored to join the board in 2026, where he is dedicated to bridging gaps in care and resources for the local queer and disabled communities.
