Come OUT & Find OUT Educational Conference

This year's Come OUT & Find OUT conference on November 8, 2008 attracted nearly 150 participants. The response to the conference was very positive. Attendees wrote: "This was a GREAT! conference, each has been great but it continues to get better" and "can't wait until next year!" Fortunately the community won't have to wait a whole year to see many of the conference programs return as Center projects. Harvesting a Lifetime©, brought to us by Leslie Malin, Jewish Family Services, was very well received and is positioned to become an ongoing group at the Center. The Town Hall Meeting with other LGBTQ centers along the Hudson Valley inspired several new projects that will benefit the LGBTQ and regional communities. Health Matters panelists also asked for continuation of discussion and collaboration with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center in making health and social services more understanding and welcoming toward LGBTQ constituents. One conference, lots of developments... stay tuned, we'll be looking for next year's volunteers soon!
