Bowling at the Hoe Bowl - December 2, 2006

Hey... Pins Happen!

Center members and their friends and family had the party in full swing at Hoe Bowl on the Hill in Kingston. The group gathered on December 2nd for a night of bowling, camaraderie, and of course that AMAZING bowling alley food! It really was a GREAT night. We got our stylish bowling shoes on, went on a ball hunt, and started knocking down pins!

Slowly more and more members made their way in and more lanes were opened. And you could hear the cheers even when only one pin was knocked down! Some people even brought their own balls, shoes, gloves, etc. and were getting those scores high. Others, like yours truly, had scores beaten by a 7 year old, but I digress...

Overall, it was a night enjoyed by all. It's events like these that are really what the Center is about: Coming together as a community in the larger community to show that we're here, but that we're all just like everyone else. And that most of the time it's not about parades and raising money... It's about getting to know new people, sharing a laugh and cheering each other on when you're stuck with a 7 - 10 split!! - Alisha Bell
