Nicole E. Ressa
Nicole Ressa is the Ulster County Education Coordinator for Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley; she also coordinates the affiliate’s Circles Youth program, for LGBTQ youth and their allies. This past May, Nicole received a 2006 GLSEN Leadership Award for her work with LGBT Youth. A graduate of the State University at Albany in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in English and a double minor in Women’s Studies and Psychology, she was co-president of the Pride Alliance, and during her last year at U Albany, was the LGBTQ Concerns Director for the on-campus Student Association.
Nicole lives in New Paltz with her partner Lisa Matranga and daughter Laianna and enjoys spending time with her family. As an activist, Nicole is committed to social justice for all people and believes that addressing all oppressions will ultimately bring the movement progress.
